We have received the following information from Fairfax County and really need your help in donating the following supplies to help keep our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness, safe and dry during the potential impact of Hurricane Irma on our community.

Hurricane Irma will likely have some impact on our region between Monday and Wednesday next week (Sept. 11-13). While the impacts will be substantially less than what is being experienced in the Caribbean, our potential threats include:

  • Flooding rain.
  • Tidal flooding.
  • Tornadoes.
  • Damaging winds

You can make a difference in the life of someone battling the elements right here in Fairfax County by dropping off items from the list below to the FACETS office at 10640 Page Avenue, Suite 300, Fairfax, VA.  Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 pm.   • Flashlights
  • Battery-operated lanterns
  • Batteries (in different sizes!)
  • Matches
  • First aid kit
  • Duct tape
  • Rain ponchos
  • Plastic garbage bags
  • Clean clothes
  • Extra blankets
  • Heavy gloves
  • Non-perishable food items
  • Gift Cards
