Hot Meals

 

The Hot Meals program is where FACETS got its start 30 years ago. It began when a few faith groups volunteered to prepare and serve meals to the homeless community living along Fairfax Boulevard, three nights a week. Now, we work with over 30 partners to serve hot meals every night of the week, and twice on Sundays. We serve an average of 110 people every day of the year, totalling about 25,000 individuals a year. We make three stops: the Fairfax Circle Home Depot, the Breezeway Motel, and Christ Lutheran church. These warm meals serve both families and individuals who are living on the street. In addition to providing hot and nutritious food, the meals are an outreach opportunity for our volunteers to meet people in need, and refer them for additional support and services.
