Hot Meals Food Distributions

Hot Meals is where FACETS got its start in 1988 as a no-barrier food distribution. It began with a few faith-based organizations joining our founder Linda Wimpey to prepare and serve meals to the homeless living along Fairfax Boulevard, three nights a week. Now, we work with 33 partners to serve hot meals every night, 52 weeks a year, and on Sunday mornings.

This program is open to ALL in need of food assistance. In addition to providing free, nutritious food, Hot Meals also provides an outreach opportunity for people in need of additional services and support.

Prior to the COVID-19 crisis, the program served an average of 90 people a day. Now, those numbers have almost tripled with new faces joining familiar ones at the three Hot Meals distribution sites as more and more of our neighbors find themselves struggling. We are in unchartered territory but FACETS remains dedicated to being here for the neighbors who need us the most – and, the only question we will ask is “How many meals do you need today?”
