  • Program Director, Permanent Supportive Housing

    FACETS is hiring a mission-driven leader to join our team as Director of Supportive Housing responsible for our Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) programs, which provides housing and case management to 68 individuals and families living in group homes, apartment units and single family residences through programs sponsored by HUD and Fairfax County, 43 units in all. The Director serves as leader and manager of this program and its committed team of case managers and resident counselors, as well as representing the program to clients, stakeholders and funders.

    The successful candidate will have experience in supportive housing programs; case management experience in either homeless services or supportive housing; familiarity with HUD supportive housing regulations and reporting requirements; and current knowledge of best practices in homeless services and supportive housing, and the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness.

    The position is highly visible to staff, senior management, and the general public and is subject to interruptions from walk-in traffic and telephone calls. High standards of courtesy, performance and respect for confidentiality are essential. Independent judgment is required for appropriate decision making, problem solving and priority setting. A candidate that is an experienced leader, motivator, fast learner, enthusiastic, highly motivated, skilled in providing services in the community; and must have excellent organizational skills.   • Human Resources Manager

    The Human Resource Manager will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, development, termination, and handling employee relations and disciplinary matters as they arise. Responsibilities include training staff on select topics or arranging trainings, and managing the annual performance evaluation process. The HR Manager also administers employee leave and benefits, including annual open enrollment, and ensures that the organization complies with employment regulations and FACETS policies and procedures.

    The HR Manager will be a member of the Leadership Team and will provide input into FACETS’ HR Strategy as well as execute it. They will help shape organizational culture and develop policies and procedures.   • Grants and Data Quality Assurance Manager

    FACETS is looking for mission-driven Grants and Data Quality Assurance Manager to join our team serving families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in Fairfax County. The Grants and Data Quality Assurance Manager provides agency support to all programs, playing a key role in ensuring the integrity of the agency’s public funding. This position is responsible for the administrative and technical work to assist leadership with proposal preparation and processing, award administration, data reporting, and related processes. They will be responsible for establishing reporting schedules, development of manuals to include training manuals to train staff on contractual requirements, and will monitor and support all data collection processes in close coordination with program staff and contacts with the Fairfax County Office to Prevent and End Homelessness (OPEH)’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).

    The incumbent will work in conjunction with the Senior Directors of Programs to ensure programs meet all required reporting benchmarks and contract requirements. The incumbent will be expected to establish partnerships within the community and monitor all agency processes involving external agencies to ensure agency submissions are fully compliant with grant requirements. The incumbent will also work in coordination with the agency Accountant to monitor funding and perform random audits or spot checks of direct assistance funds to ensure compliance with funding requirements. Additionally, the incumbent will work in conjunction with the Development Director to perform data analysis and identify patterns or trends that may be used for developing materials for grants, reports, press releases, or presentations that demonstrate the services currently provided by the agency and identify any needs for additional development.

    FACETS is hiring a part-time Resident Counselor (RC) 4:00 p.m. to 12:00am Monday to Friday for FACETS’ group homes serving chronically homeless individuals, who are medically vulnerable, located in Fairfax, VA. Under the direction of the Director of Supportive Housing, the RC will provide supportive counseling, community living skills training, medication monitoring, and crisis interventions to chronically homeless individuals in a group home setting. The RC is responsible for maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment while implementing programming to facilitate residents’ attainment of rehabilitation goals. RC directly teaches independent living skills through group and individual training sessions and provides transportation as necessary. The RC is responsible for providing staff coverage for the safety and security of residents, and the program at all times. Familiarity with the chronically homeless population and the “housing first” model is essential. The successful candidate will have experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness that are seriously mentally ill, actively using substances, and/or medically vulnerable. Significant independence of judgment and exceptional interpersonal skills are required in this position. A candidate bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
