After working for nearly 20 years in the procurement and contracts industry, Karen currently serves and volunteers as Director of Operations for the Dulles Corridor Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). Karen was drawn to FACETS because of the personal experience of a close family member who was on the verge of homelessness. Her middle son volunteered with FACETS shortly thereafter and through him became more aware of the life-sustaining and transformational services being accomplished by our neighbors, for our neighbors. She has volunteered and continues to support various other non-profit and civic organizations such as the local nursing home, family shelters, churches, health foundations, schools, and athletic programs. She is the proud mom of three boys, one of which has graduated college and is working at a large financial corporation, the other two currently attending.
