Valerie spent 24 years as a career civil servant, including Assistant Secretary of Financial Management and Comptroller for the Department of the Army, a presidentially-appointed, Senate-confirmed role. She founded Baldwin Consulting in 2007 and represented multiple Fortune 500 companies and small businesses in Congress and the Department of Defense. Valerie strongly believes that a prosperous country like America should create opportunities for its citizens to lend a helping hand to others, especially the elderly and children, a belief that ultimately brought her to FACETS. She is a proud godmother of six amazing kids and “human” to a Corginamed Jesper. She is a member of Saint David’s Episcopal Church and in her free time enjoys hosting dinner parties, baking, and traveling.
