POSITION: Residential Coordinator

LOCATION: In-Person, Falls Church, Virginia

You’ll ensure around-the-clock operational excellence by managing staff scheduling, monitoring service quality, and driving alignment with program goals and performance standards.

In this pivotal position, you will champion safety and security practices, oversee critical procedures such as medication monitoring, and address health and safety concerns to protect and support residents. Your strong problem-solving skills will shine as you handle escalated issues, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.

Communication is key, you’ll foster clear, consistent collaboration with Residential Support Specialists, Case Managers, the Shelter Facilities Manager, operations teams, referral partners, and community agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct supervision, coaching and training to Residential Support Staff to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Monitors service delivery to ensure alignment with program goals and that performance measures are consistently met.
  • Manages the RSS schedule, to ensure adequate staff coverage 24 hours a day.
  • Ensures proper procedures are being followed to protect the safety and security of residents, including monitoring the medication process, and other health and safety concerns to protect clients.
  • Handles escalated issues and concerns, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution. Creates and maintains consistent communication channels, both verbal and written, with key stakeholders including RSS, Case Managers, the Shelter Facilities Manager, operations staff, referral sources, and collaborating agencies.
  • Assists RSS and Case Managers to develop and monitor residents’ individual service plans to support progress toward housing stability and personal goals.
  • Represents FACETS in the community, in accord with Agency Mission, Vision, and Code of Ethics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of current social service, homeless, and housing issues and methods/approaches to address issues.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a high performing team.
  • Knowledge or understanding of tenant’s rights and responsibilities as well as “strengths based” case management.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Candidate must be able to lift items weighing 10-20 pounds.
  • Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, good driving record, and personal car insurance.
  • Candidate will be required to pass criminal background and Child Protective Services background checks.
  • CPR Certification Preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to attend occasional meetings at other FACETS office locations within Fairfax County, including 3 annual organization-wide fundraising events each year.

Salary:

$22-25/Hour

FACETS offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualification/experience.

Benefits:

  • FACETS observes 11 federal paid holidays in the year, during which the offices will close. If a holiday falls on a day when a regular part-time employee is normally scheduled to work, the amount of the employee’s pay for that day is prorated based on the number of hours they are scheduled to work that day.
